The 1st Dubai International Symposium for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (DISPRS 2018) was held at the Intercontinental Dubai Festival City between February 28 and March 1, 2018, under the patronage of Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and supported by the Emirates Plastic Surgeons Society (EPSS).

A CME-certified conference, DISPRS 2018 provided a focused professional environment to share the latest practice methods and approaches to improve patient care and outcomes and reinforced the position of Dubai as the regional center of excellence in plastic surgery. DISPRS 2018 brought together more than 300 participants from around the world to hear prominent plastic surgeons address and discuss the latest procedures, developments and breakthroughs in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery.

DISPRS 2018 also featured an exhibition featuring major clinics and hospitals in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery, specialist cosmetics manufacturers and distributors, and for specialist medical supplies. The purpose of the exhibition was to provide a consumer-focused environment where public visitors can feel comfortable in interacting with a wide spectrum of industry professionals, have questions answered, understand the variety of treatments and procedures being offered by plastic surgeons in Dubai, and to help decide where and when to receive treatment.
