The Gulf Defence Conference (GDC) – the Official Conference of IDEX 2013 –was organized by INEGMA for the second successive time on 16 February, 2013.

INEGMA was selected by ADNEC, the organizer for IDEX 2013, to plan and manage this high-level conference held under the distinguished patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Ruler of Abu Dhabi. GDC 2013 was fully supported by the UAE Armed Forces and forms an integral part of one of the most important international gatherings of the defence and security community in the GCC.

GDC took place on the day prior to the opening ceremony of IDEX 2013 on Saturday, 16 February, 2013 at the Armed Forces Officers Club & Hotel in Abu Dhabi. The conference brought together a world-class speaker panel to share leading-edge insights across a host of key issues and attracted over 500 senior decision-makers from dozens of visiting delegations along with senior industry executives.

With its technology-centric focus and prestigious panelists and speakers, discussions at GDC offered a unique opportunity for keeping up to date with the latest emerging trends in defence and for networking with peers. The GDC agenda tackled topics related to “New Paradigms in Land Warfare,” “Future Airpower Transformations,” and “Naval Force Projection and Future Maritime Operations.”
